The proverb usually means people are shaped by their surroundings; we read it as the idea behind 無形 (mukei, “formless”): no fixed form, so it fits any shape. On the back, a square frame holds a round window of seigaiha (青海波) waves under a striped rising sun, a giant brush-script 水 breaks out of the frame beside a MIZU wordmark, the proverb runs vertically down the side, and a 無形 seal sits in a label strip at the bottom.
