Never look back. 後ろ姿 (ushirosugata) means “figure seen from behind”: the last view you get of someone as they walk away. The back carries a woman seen from behind in clean black linework, her kimono slipped off both shoulders to show a peony irezumi back piece, her hair pinned with a single kanzashi, in front of a huge red sun. 後ろ姿 runs down the side in brush script over a red 無 (mu, “nothing”) stamp, finished with the FORMLESS wordmark and NEVER LOOK BACK. On the front, a red 無 seal with FORMLESS and USHIROSUGATA sits on the left chest.
